Pitching - How to be at your best during competition
This a Pitching specific camp dedicated to giving you the tools to maximize your ability to compete this upcoming year while also developing throughout the year. For those pitchers who are continuing to try to reach the next level, development never stops. The major theme for this camp will be preparing for the upcoming Spring / Summer so pitchers can be at their best when it matters most: in the game. We are passionate about arm care, and this is a critical time to make sure you are preparing your development and arm health correctly for the upcoming seasons.
Want to know what you need to work on with your delivery to be at your best this season? See the video option below!
This camp focuses on specific tactics to be ready to compete not only in March but also throughout the rest of the spring, summer, and fall seasons.
Specific sections will include how the UNC pitching staff handles in-season:
Arm care (pre-throwing/recovery)
In addition, each prospect will showcase his abilities in a live bullpen session.
Video Option ($30): We will take slow motion video of during your bullpen session that will be evaluated by UNC Coaching Staff. We will then send you the video as well as an analysis on aspects that you do well and what can be improved. This will include drill recommendations in order to improve command, velocity, efficiency, etc. This is a tremendous value in how to continue development after camp!
UNC Pitching Coaches, take a unique approach in pitching development, focusing on athleticism and throwing freely. This includes catch play drills and non-traditional developmental methods that will be taught at camp. These developmental methods assist in improving arm health, velocity, command, and “stuff” by allowing pitchers to be athletic, on time, and repeatable each pitch.
